Nugget is my little ShihPoo. She's the sweetest and the cutest, but not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I say this with total love. You can't find a better dog, unless you want a dog that will follow commands. Nugget will not (cannot?) sit, stay, come, give you her paw. None of it. Sometimes when you ask her to sit she will lay down. Seriously. She will, however, come running when you say the word treat. Girlfriend likes her treats, y'all.

She loves going for walks but hates having her harness put on. Her old harness, that is. It's pink and cute but she is not a fan. After you put it on, she stands super still, as if moving even one inch will cause certain death. If you put the leash on her, she will lay down like a lump and you will have to either
A. drag her, which is just mean
or
2. pick her up and carry her outside.
Option 2 is what we do every.single.time. Once she is outside, she is fine, and walks like a pro. A pro that pulls. Having your 13 pound pup pulling on her leash is not the end of the world. Bad manners? Absolutely. But not a hardship.
Enter the Stunt Puppy Go Dog Glo harness.
After I got it on her, and adjusted the straps (more on that later!) I put her down on the floor and she did the whole standing still thing. Once she realized it wasn't the enemy, she moved around a bit! Score! I put the leash on in the living room as a test. She had to walk through the kitchen and past the dining room and the library to get to the front door, and she did it! What?!?
She loves her new harness, and the Martingale Style leash attachment loosens and tightens depending on how tight you pull the leash. So if she pulls, it tightens a bit and she knows to stop pulling. Our walks are even more fun now! An added bonus: Since the leash attaches at the shoulders, she won't get tangled up around her legs!
Adjusting the straps was a breeze! There's a little buttony thing (totally a word) that you hold down with your finger and the strap easily slides through the clip. It was so easy! There are loops that slide up and down the excess strap to hold it in place and keep it from flapping.
OK, so let's talk about the reflective strips. I took that pic in a dark room so you could see how bright the reflection is! The 3M Scotchlite reflective panels are reflective at up to 500 feet! nice! The fabric is water repellent as well, so if you have one of those dogs like mine... she must run through every.single.puddle…. this harness is for you!
