Princess Race Weekend 2022

I set my alarm for 9:50 this morning and signed into Run Disney to register for Princess Weekend. My girls and I wanted the Challenge and the 5k, plus yoga. We got the races, but yoga registration isn’t open yet.
We scoured the google for maps of the courses and pics of princesses to start thinking about costumes.

I think I’ve decided which three princesses to dress up as, unless my girls want to do something specific. I’m pretty easy, to be honest. And once I have my costumes, I’ll decide which ones to wear for each race. The most comfy for the half, the least comfy for the 5k.

Are you running any Disney races in 2022?

Yoga at the Van Gogh Exhibit

Awhile back, I dragged my hubby to the Van Gogh exhibit and we had such a great time. I’ll post some pics, but it won’t give you even half the idea of what the show is like. And it is a show. The pictures move and change and there is a musical component as well!

Last month, I found out that they were having yoga in the exhibit four mornings a week! Omg! Obviously I had to go back! My friend Tricia was supposed to join me, but she got stuck in Florida, so my friend Sara took her ticket!

I took some of the pics during yoga and some after. For the yoga class, which was 35 minutes long (the length of the show), they turned the music down for a more zen experience. Afterwards, we were invited to stay and see the show again on all its glory, at full volume. It was wonderful!

Since the experience was sponsored by Lifeway Kefir, we got some swag and some samples on the way out.

There’s also a pic of Charlotte, which I took right before getting in my car to come home. I love how close I live to the city!

My 10 Year Runaversary

Wow! Today marks ten years since I started running. I started with a simple Couch to 5k, and was about to do a couch to 10k when a friend convinced me to run my first half. 68 half marathons and 4 full marathons later, I’m still plugging along!

I wanted to do something fun to commemorate the occasion, but with my stupid knees and the fact that we had tornado watches all day, I decided to just stick with a two miles run and be happy that I didn’t end up in Oz!

How many years have you been running?
