I haver really enjoyed these first 250 posts, they have started with my first training run for my first Half Marathon, and brought me through ten more Half Marathons, a Disney Marathon, almost thirty 5Ks, five 5 milers, a 10 miler, a 10K, 4 mud runs, and countless friends.
What better way to celebrate such fabulousness, than with a giveaway!
The winner will receive:
- A BELIEVE shubeez
- a Honey Stinger sticker
- ING NYC Marathon shoe laces
- Jelly Belly Sport Beans, Watermelon flavor
- Bic Bands headband
What do you think? Are you in?
This giveaway is going to be an easy to enter giveaway! All you need to do is comment! Tell me what your favorite race distance is, and why. I will choose the winner randomly on Friday, July 12th. If I get enough comments, maybe I will throw in some extra prizes!
Easy, right?

Go!
I love the half marathon. Long enough to feel like I did something but doesn't hurt like the full!!
ReplyDeleteHalf is my favorite as well!!
DeleteRight now, my favorite is the half marathon...mainly because that's the farthest I've run at this point. I'd love to do a full marathon hopefully next year :)
ReplyDeleteHalf is my favorite! The Disney Marathon was fun, and I look forward to it again in 2014! I want to a Full in Fall 2014, to see what it is like without the hoopla though!
Delete10K is my favorite distance, long enough to feel like I've run a race, but short enough where I'm not exhausted for the rest of the day...although I am hoping to build up my endurance so I feel that way after half marathons :-)
ReplyDeleteI did one 10K last year and hope to repeat it this year! You will love the Half when you get there, it is awesome!
DeleteThis year I'm partial to ultras but if I had to pick one distance it would probably be a half marathon. Not too short, not too long and training for a race is easily doable.
ReplyDeleteUltras scare me, you go girl!!!
DeleteI think the 10K will be my favorite distance.
ReplyDeleteI loved the 10K that I did, but we don't have many around here! I can't wait to do the the Disney 10K in January!
DeleteIts gotta be a 10K or a 15K for me. Wish there more races in those distances.
ReplyDeleteWe don't get many of those around here~I have only done one of each, and the 15K was a trail run (sort of, half trail, half road).
DeleteI loved the Tower of Terror 10 miler I did, but that's cuz I did it with my sister! My favorite distance is 10k. Its long enough to feel like I did something substantial but not too long that I want to throw up after LOL ;P
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing better than racing with friends and family, it makes everything more bearable!
DeleteHA!! My favorite distance changes every day!! But, if Id have to pick I would say the half marathon!!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya, I LOVE the 5K, until I am running a Half, then it is all about the Half, lol
DeleteI would say a half, long enough but does not take over my life
ReplyDeleteIt really depends on the race. After the flying pig I was all about the half but then iron horse happened and I hated that distance.
ReplyDeleteawwwwww <3 you will love it again soon, I bet!
DeleteMy fave distance is the half marathon. It's still a challenge, but not as much of a challenge as the full!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 250 and your running streak!!
thank you! I hear ya on the half and the full, I am already wondering about my sanity, with Dopey coming up!
DeleteI'm a new runner - I haven't done any races yet, still practicing. I love your blog! :)

welcome to the loony bin of runners! You will love racing, it is exciting and addictive!
DeleteHalf marathons are my favorite. I also enjoy the 15k, but they are rare.
ReplyDeleteYes! I wish there were more mid distance races, even 5 milers are hard to come by!
