I love virtual races, you can run them any time, anywhere, and the swag is often amazing. Throw Wonder Woman in there and it’s a guaranteed success. The swag (pictured above) was amazing. The jacket is super cozy and the wrist bands are a great touch! I joined a team, so we got a hat, plus I bought the cute socks, because, well, capes. Enough said.
I broke the race up into two pieces. Because of my recent backslide with my knee, I’m not able to run the 10k all at once so I did two different 5k runs instead.
This was supposed to be run 1, but the weather turned bad, and I had to bail after a half mile.
Take 2. The first 5k was complete, before the sun even came up! This one, I even had to walk three times around the parking lot because my headlamp died and it was too dark out to run in the street.
Same with run 2! Both runs were super swampy, but I got it done. Of course, I had to take the obligatory finisher phots once the sun came up!
And since the runs were both done so early, I didn't get any fun food photos, so I did a front porch swag photo. A girl has to get creative sometimes.
They sent the swag out nice and early, so I got to take these great pics. Some races will wait until the time period has ended before they send out the swag.
Definitely some of my favorite swag.
