I have been attending the Carolina Cup with the ex and our friends for years! It was a tradition I didn’t want to give up, so I reserved a tailgate spot on the other side of the track for my friends this year, and we started our own traditions.
Let’s be honest, most of what we did was the same. We celebrated my birthday, but also my impending divorce with a cake gifted to me by Quick Little Cakes (she’s on Facebook, in the Monroe area of NC and I HIGHLY recommend her. Her Cakes are amazing, and she’s the sweetest person!)
Of course we all dressed up, I did superlatives, and we bet on the horses. It was a beautiful day, with beautiful friends, and I’m so glad we decided to keep the tradition alive.
