Holy Virtual Race, Batman!
I received entry into the DC Batman Virtual 10k as part of being a BibRave Pro. (Ambassador) check out BibRave.com to find and write race reviews!
There are probably 20 blogs with that same title, but how can you run a Batman themed virtual race and not use that at least 100 times?
Next month I will be running the DC Batman Virtual Race. I worked it in on a day that I’m already running 7 miles, since I’m training for a few half marathons between October and February.
I have a few fun things up my sleeve for my running besties that will be running this with me……
Photo props, of course!

Medal Monday, Pelofondo Style
Yesterday was the final day of Pelofondo. This was my third time participating, but my first time spreading it out over two days. I honestly didn’t think I could pull it off, but I did it!
Last night was the Christmas in July Quest, and also my 500th ride! I obviously had to dress up a little bit I was very disappointed in myself that I didn’t have actual warm weather Christmas attire! All I had was a short sleeved tee and it was too thick! I actually earned my bling in the first minutes of the final ride, so I dropped down to a flat road to finish it out. I was 3.6 miles over when my friend Sarah said she needed one more ride. She stuck with me for that Quest, so I joined her. Once my mileage brought me to 85 miles, I stopped pedaling and start high fiving everyone! I was done!!

Pelofondo Day 1
My first weekend, I did 35 miles and thought I might die.
My second weekend, I did 50 miles and thought I might die.
My goal for this weekend is 80 miles, abs I’m pretty sure I’ll live, but my butt might die.
I joined the Miles, Muscles, and Motivation team, a Facebook group I belong to and adore. The moderators make Quests for us. Predetermined stacks of rides, runs, or strength with a central theme. They put together a few Quests just for Pelofondo.
The first Quest was Haleakala, which I climbed back in May. I made it through two rides and part of the 3rd before my knees started to really ache. I decided to bail and do a few easier rides instead, getting me to 40 miles for the morning.
After some Brunch with the hubs and some Hallmark movie watching, I went back upstairs at 6 and did the Happy Hour Quest. My goal was to have 60 total miles by the time I was done.

Medal Monday, Run White and Blue Edition
Yesterday, my girls and I ran the Run White and Blue 7.4K in Huntersville NC. It’s my first time doing that distance, so I guess I got a PR!
We all drove together, since it was a bit of a drive, which is always fun!
